Abstracts of papers
Abstracts are invited for papers that address new developments in the field of vacuum insulation and other advanced forms of insulation.
Programme
IVIS 2009 will commence with a drinks reception in the evening of Wednesday 16 September and conclude with a chaired discussion in the Faraday Lecture Theatre on Friday 18 September.
Bookings and Registration
Early sponsorship by exhibitors and manufacturers wishing to display to the attendees is welcome and recommended, enabling the organiser to better arrange the space to specific needs.
IVIS 2009 is intended to bring together between 200 and 300 delegates over two days at the Royal Institution. In 2007 there were 165 international attendees, and the 2009 London event aims to build on that achievement.
The use of vacuum insulation has been established in the refrigeration and logistics sectors, with packaging, vehicles, and appliances. The construction sector is also emerging as a major market where the ability to achieve very low U values at minimum thicknesses is increasingly acknowledged as a valuable attribute.
