OISD is partnering with Brunel University and Oxford University to develop new research and knowledge transfer activity which will help reduce the energy costs of commercial property in the UK.
A poster explaining the research programme was presented at the Arup/LTN Conference on Energy Efficiency and the Built Environment on 18 November 2011. With a keynote address by Chris Huhne, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, the event brought together more than 100 attendees from industry, academia and the public sector.
OISD is also partnering with Oxford University to develop a Knowledge Transfer Partnership which will bring together specialist knowledge of commercial leases and real estate practice to develop innovative leasing solutions built on best market practice. A detailed paper on the overall research concept will also be published shortly in Building Research & Information.
OISD, Oxford University and Brunel University are looking for industry partners to support and link with this programme of research and knowledge transfer.
For further information on both initiatives please contact Professor Tim Dixon, Director of OISD and Professor of Real Estate for further information (tdixon@brookes.ac.uk).
