To deliver a process and tool which will facilitate the assessment of achieving levels 4, 5, and 6 of the Code for Sustainable Homes for a representative sample of new build stock.
Development of an interactive user-friendly Code for Sustainable Homes-based Sustainability Appraisal Toolkit (SAT). SAT runs on MS Excel and is used to evaluate the technical and economical feasibility of achieving Code levels 3, 4, 5 and 6 for a representative sample of new-build dwellings in the UK for different scales of development (single-home, 25 homes and 250 homes).
- A toolkit for assessing and evaluating new homes for a Code for Sustainable Homes rating.
- The tool was used to provide 36 appraisal options for achieving different code levels for a range of housing types, aiming towards the zero carbon benchmark.
